Specialist logistics developer and investor PLP has purchased the site at Smithywood Business Park in Sheffield and secured detailed planning consent for a single 343,000 sq.ft unit, known as PLP Smithywood.

It has acquired the site from joint owners St Pauls Developments PLC and The Norfolk Estate.

PLP will speculatively develop the property, which will be one of the largest warehouses in the Yorkshire region. Construction is set to begin this year with completion in autumn 2020.
